We are looking for a Lead Product Manager to help drive the future vision and strategy of the Battle.net Desktop App, home to fabled game franchises like Warcraft, Diablo, Starcraft, Overwatch, Call of Duty and growing. The Desktop App is the primary place that connects our players to our games and to each other. We’re looking for someone who has deep passion for driving premium player experiences, seamlessly integrated games, and helping bridge meaningful social connections between players.
This role is anticipated to be either an on-site or hybrid position. The potential home studio locations for this role are Albany, NY, or Irvine, CA.
Responsibilities
Create and own a long-term strategy for the Desktop App with incremental deliverables towards a multi-year vision
Think holistically through the user journey, ensuring our players have a consistent touchpoint through the lens of the Desktop App across all our product lines
Champion the product by having a passion for deeply understanding the needs and challenges of our customers: look directly into our analytics solutions, identify problems, and partner with design and tech to generate solutions and deliver them iteratively for our players
Work closely with our game teams to ensure our experience and capabilities (current and future) offer a tightly integrated, premium end-to-end experience
Develop a roadmap and partner with team leadership to own execution and delivery of projects throughout their development lifecycle
Anticipate issues, roadblocks and make tradeoffs to ensure the team is capable of delivering a project at a high degree of quality within time constraints
Requirements
A minimum of 10 years of experience as a product manager, building world-class platforms and services
Passion for the world PC gaming and platform development
A metrics-driven approach and ability to dive into data sources to demonstrate your strategy and results.
Able to succeed within an everchanging environment, pushing the bleeding edge of new features while maintaining reliability and stability
Extraordinary verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Comfortable giving presentations to large groups and senior management
Strong interpersonal skills and a love for collaboration
Demonstrated success in delivering large, projects across multiple organizations
Highly technical background and deep understanding of APIs and back-end systems
Unrelenting self-motivation and initiative; enthusiastic "can-do" attitude is a must
Pluses
Experience building platform features that serves millions of customers daily, especially for gaming products
Expertise in JIRA, Confluence, or comparable team collaboration applications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Demonstrated passion for games

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $116,800.00 - $216,000.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role’s range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed. While we strive to provide competitive offers to successful candidates, new hire compensation is negotiable.
