Associate Rigging Artist - Unannounced Project
Diablo Irvine

The minions of Hell are growing stronger. . . .

We're working on a new, unannounced Diablo project. Are you a skilled rigger? Come build something exceptional with us!

Our team of talented developers is growing. Our backgrounds are diverse, but we all share a real passion for video games in general and Diablo in particular. We believe that if you’re looking for a tight-knit crew that celebrates self-expression and embraces collaboration, we might be a phenomenal fit for you.

Stuff We Will Trust You With

You will work closely with artists on the character team to provide support throughout the character production process. You’ll be rigging and skinning all sorts of assets, preparing them technically for export, and helping to maintain a high level of visual and technical quality for all characters.

Your extraordinary knowledge and experience with animation tools, scripts, and game engines will be put to use as you help us facilitate ongoing improvements for our rigging production. Additional skills in areas like animation, character anatomy, and topology are a plus.

You will also be expected to be an excellent game developer, supporting not just the team and people around you, but also the overall project in whatever way you can.

Stuff You Can Rightfully Brag About

We’re always looking for people who are game developers first and foremost, and we aim to surround ourselves with people who can embrace what we do and then help us become even better at our craft. Your list of skills and achievements probably reads something like this:

  • Adept at developing new rigs as needed, with active participation in animation tools and overall quality improvement.
  • Proven skills in rigging, engine ingestion, skinning, cloth sim setup, and other relevant areas of expertise.
  • Shown ability to work within a team to create balanced solutions to various technical and aesthetic issues.
  • A deep commitment to having ongoing, active, and efficient communication both within and outside of your department.
  • Having a current and relevant online portfolio which demonstrates advanced knowledge in Maya.
  • Positive, go-getter attitude with a passion for making video games.
  • Consistently strong problem-solving skills, as well as the capability to work in a disciplined manner and to make timely, well-thought-out decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal, social, and communication skills, with a desire to work closely with other professionals in a team setting.

And Yeah, You Will Need These Things to Apply:

  • Resume.
  • Willingness to do a test if asked.
  • A demo reel with a description of your contributions per shot. Please provide detailed explanations if needed. A demo reel should display a firm artistic understanding of rigging, skinning, animation, cloth, and physics.
